“Power Yoga” has also become widely generic term and is most often used to differentiate a more intense flowing style from other gentler more static and meditative styles of yoga. In essence it combines aspects of both Vinyasa Flow and Hatha yoga. It is one of the most popular types of yoga today and is an effective way to tone one’s body, strengthen muscles, improve flexibility and relieve stress and anxiety. It incorporates faster paced dynamic movements and slower strengthening postures with breath technique and meditation into a complete practice. Classes are medium paced and suited to all levels. You will work up a good sweat, so be sure to bring water and a towel! Be prepared to leave floating out the door after a beautiful relaxation period at the end of class.
